Korissa and I ordered chicken liver tonight for part of our dinner. I knew it was a bad idea even while agreeing to try it out. Of course when the appetizer arrived I was immediately visually and mentally repulsed by the mauve pile slathered on a crisp, and knew I wasn't going to try it. Automatically.
I like to think that I'm open-minded enough to try things I don't think I'd like but I draw the line at organs. Pate, foie gras, liver, you keep your distance. In fact, you-uni- can also stay far away from me!!!
How about "sweetbreads." It's brains, but deceptively named.
